Cellula is a movement-based collective led by three female artists, K Sea Ya, Ryan Elisabeth Reid, and Kristi Williamson, who have been practicing performance scores in accordance with Anna Halprin’s teachings and guidance. Our current piece is a patchwork woven by female narratives exploring bodies, memories, emotions, and taboos in relation to ordinary daily happenings and the stages of development into womanhood.

 

Picking Up the Pieces is a 48' movement performance created by Cellula Lab during the residency at SafeHouse Arts. Six scores with biographical contents unfolding into a collective language depicting what is to grow up and to be a woman today.
